The water is VERY low again past Cogglesford Mill, the Kingfisher and Heron will definately not be using this stretch until there is more water again.
I only saw a few ducks on Lollycocks Pond again today, so its over a week since I saw any Moorhens there, but I suppose they are still around.
I did see the Dabchick again so it looks like he/she may stay for the winter. In previous years when we have had Dabchicks over winter on the Slea they seem to go away about April, presumable looking for a mate and then comeback June/July (assuming they were the same Dab) hopefully to breed, lets hope this is the case with this Dab.
