Just 4…

Just 4 ducklings are still surviving at the mement, its not looking good for the others as the weather is supposed to get bad over the next few days. I did see the Kingfisher today near the Old Slea weir and the Dabchich is still hanging around as can be seen here (taken today)… Terry

We have some very late…

We have some very late DUCKLINGS, its a shame because they probably will not survive the cold nights. There were 6 today, but apparantly there were 12 over the weekend, so we have already lost half 🙁 I saw the Dabchick outside the LC and later further downstream. Nothings changed…

Nothing has changed since the last post except that the Dabchick was seen today for the first time in a week or so 🙂 but still no Moorhens on the pond. Terry

Still no Moorhens on Lollycocks pond, I dont know what has happened to them but I doubt very much that something has happened to all of them, so hopefully they are in the reeds somewhere ? I did see the Kingfisher twicw today 🙂 and a Sparrowhawk. Its 2 years since they drained Lollycocks Pond… […]

The water is …

The water is VERY low again past Cogglesford Mill, the Kingfisher and Heron will definately not be using this stretch until there is more water again. I only saw a few ducks on Lollycocks Pond again today, so its over a week since I saw any Moorhens there, but I suppose they are still around. […]

3 dead ducks…

Today there were 3 dead ducks and a dead pigeon floating in the Slea near Cogglesford Mill which is VERY unusual, I wonder if someone has been taking pot shots at the wildlife, if they are I hope they shoot themselves by mistake (or on purpose I don’t really mind which). I have no proof […]
