Again I only saw 1 of the 2 ‘new’ teenager Moorhens on Lollycocks pond. It was not a very nice day so the other may have been hiding, if I only see 1 next time I will start to worry about what has happened to the other.
I did see a Kingfisher today, the first time for what seems like ages, but no lizards and the Tufty definitely seems to have gone.
There has been a distinct lack of these near the Slea this year, I think its probably because when they drained Lollycocks pond all the nymphs would have been killed and it takes about 4 years for the cycle to get to this stage again…
