I only saw three of the Baby Moorhens today, but it was cold and mum was on the nest so the others may well have been under her.

…ducklings but I also saw two dead ones. It looked like at least one of these had been killed by an adult duck because of someone feeding the ducklings. When a duckling beats an adult to some bread then the adult sometimes gives the duckling a pecking which can kill them, but people do not seem to realise that when ducklings and adult ducks are in the same space the ducklings lives are in danger
