Yesterday we had 5 ducklings (down from 7) and today we only have 4 
The ducklings and mum seem to come out of the water a lot I think so that mum gets away from the male ducks, but it does mean that they are prone to attack from dogs both on leads and off
I saw Stiff legs yesterday so he is back from chasing lady ducks 
The swans have not been seen this week, neither has the Coot or Dabchick.

Just a quick comment. I saw a Coot on the pond this afternoon – Fri 13th) and just 2 ducklings with the mother on the river.

Hi Graham, thanks for the update. There were 3 ducklings this morning so we have lost another during the day
I wonder if the Coot on the pond is ‘ours’ having returned or a stranger ?
