I have been told by Allan and Barbara that there was a swan on the Slea on Saturday but it was not around this morning.
The Dabchick is still in the reeds, Mel and I walked down past the railway bridge to where a small pond is and something that looked like a Dabchick dived as soon as we got close. We were not close enough to definitely identify it as a Dabchick but we *think* it was.
This picture doesn’t come out that well this small but on a bigger version the water droplets are quite effective…
