First the good news, 2 of the second brood of Dabchicks have hatched 
I saw them today as mum moved, but I only saw the 1 teenager downstream of the Mill, the other 2 were hopefully in the reeds somewhere.
Now the potentially bad news, I saw both adult Coots, 1 near the Leisure Centre and 1 downstream of the Mill but before the railway bridge. Both adults came for bread but they both eat it and normally one would take it to the baby who was also no where to be seen. I am not giving up hope that he was hiding but I have real fears for him because of the behavior of the adults.
Also saw a heron past the railway bridge.
