Sadly I saw a Duck dead in the water this morning, only a few feet away there was a lot of water on the path, so the odds are that a Dog had gone in the river and killed the Duck and then emerged where the water was. Only the other week we lost ‘One Eye’ which was also probably due to a Dog, most dog owners are responsible but the few that are not need to be **** – I will leave it up to individuals to interpret the **** 
I did have a rare glimpse of a kingfisher this morning and I saw 2 teenager Dabchicks and both adults near the nest and wondered where the other teenager was, eventually I saw him quite a distance away between the New Street Bridge and the Hub 
The Coot is still on the nest and it cant be that long now before the eggs hatch, I saw the other adult Coot but not the teenager from the first brood.
UPDATE: Alan has just rang and he went back after our walk this morning and the Coot got of its nest and he saw 1 baby that had hatched
