All four Dabchick babies are still doing well 
They are near the Mill at the moment which worries me a little as in past years two have gone over the weir from which they will not get back. The previous ones that went over were much bigger than ours are at the moment and could find their own food, and I know that both survived at least for 7-10 days and possibly until adulthood. If any of ours go over at the moment it will be the end for them so fingers crossed that they are ok. The adult Moorhens near the Mill were haveing fights with the Dabchick adults this morning so I dont think the babies will be allowed as far as the weir for now at least.
The Coot is still on the nest past the Mill but I do not know how many eggs there are but the teenager was also around and doing well.
4 heads are better than 1 taken on Wednesday…
