The Coots nest is in shade so this is not a particularily good photo, but it does show 4 different stages in a Coots life…
…Adult, Just hatched, Breaking out of egg and egg. In the top right you can see a bad closeup of the egg that is about to hatch and you can just see inside it some red of the baby Coots head and the end of his little beak:)
All the Dabchicks are still doing well
