I saw the two new baby Coots that Graham mentioned in his comment to the previous post. Also, again as Graham mentioned, the original baby Coot (now a teenager) was being ignored by the parents, but I think he/she is old enough to find its own food now.
The Dabchicks are still on the nest and doing well 
All 6 baby Moorhens are also still ok but I didnt see any of the 3 ‘teenagers’ but I would imagine that they were ok somewhere. The Moorhen nest that I mentioned in the last post, where there were 2 adults in the nest plus a third adult, has at least one baby Moorhen and I also saw another Moorhen building a nest, so the Moorhens seem to be doing well again this year. There was also a new batch of Ducklings near to the Mill.
This is a really bad photograph as the 2 new baby Coots were a very long way off, but it does show them in the first week of their lives…
