Again I saw 4 baby Dabchicks today, mum and dad were both off the nest and bringing food back for the little ones, mum then settled back on the nest so I am still unsure if she is still incubating an egg or not. Dad (I assume) chased off an adult Moorhen that came too near which reminded me that last year I watched as one of the 2007 adult Dabchicks dived and came back up from underneath the ducks when they ventured to close to the nest, the ducks really did get a surprise 
Message for Enid, I only saw 1 of the yellow ducklings today but the others could have been resting on the bank somewhere, I will have another look on Monday.
I had a lovely long view of this Water Vole yesterday…
