We went much much further downstream today as we had been led to believe that a pair of swans may be nesting, however there was just a yearling cygnet which would not still be with its parents if they were nesting/breeding, so it seems were were on a ‘wild goose (swan) chase’
There seems to be just the 1 ‘larger’ duckling around now so it seems we have lost the other one
‘One Eye’ was not in his usual place but near the Leisure Centre, he was chased by another drake and flew downstream a little to get away, which is where I caught up with him and fed him.
The Coots and Moorhens that have started nesting seem to be doing alright, so keeping fingers crossed for their little ones
