Bad news first, the mum who had 20 ducklings on Friday now has only 14, but I was expecting worse after the weather we have had the last few days. There was also a few other ducklings about but it is now hard to know which family is which.
The good news (well mainly good) is that the mum who had just 4 ducklings left last week and who I feared had lost all because I had not seen them for a few days, still has 3 and these 3 are relatively quite big now so I don’t think the cold weather will bother them too much now, but obviously there are still predators around.
I still have not seen ‘Lucky’ for almost a week, so I am getting quite worried about him, I did see ‘One Eye’ and ‘Stiff Legs’ today.
