No sign of ‘one eye’ today 
all 9 ducklings are still ok though 
Also saw ‘stiff legs’, ‘Lucky’, 2 dabchicks and the 2 Coots. The Coots were chasing Moorhens away from what I suspect will be their nest site.
Hoping to start a ‘Starling Appreciation Society’ but this was taken in my backgarden and not near the Slea…
…who can dislike such a colourful and clever bird ? I actually have a pair of Starlings starting to nest in my roof only a few feet above where I sleep (for the 3rd year in a row) at the moment everything is quite quiet but when the young hatch it gets a little noisy at dawn with mum and dad continuely coming back and forth with food, so I normally move to the back bedroom until they have fledged
