I think we have lost all the ducklings 
I have been told that there were 7 still around yesterday, but today we did not see any. After looking around we saw what we believed was ‘mum’ but without any ducklings, our only hope is that we misidentified her and she was somewhere else with the remaining ducklings, but I don’t think this is that likely as mum was reasonably distinctive (but not uniquely so). The high winds over the last couple of days must have made it very difficult for the ducklings to make any headway upstream, so they may have been separated from mum one at a time ???? It really is tough being wildlife
