Latest picture of our lone duckling…
… if you remember I first saw ‘him’ on 5th October along with 12 other ducklings, but this is the only one to survive, so I think ‘he’ is a little bit special. You can just see a pinkish mark on ‘his’ beak which is how I hope to identify ‘him’ in the future, he is almost full size now and doesn’t stand out as much as ‘he’ used to.
I also saw 2 Kingfishers and 6 Dabchicks, 5 between the Hub and the Mill and 1 near the gate just past the Mill.
