I do not have any new images from the Slea so I feel I am getting into a bad habit by posting images NOT from the Slea like these Whooper Swans at sunset, taken at Welney on Thursday…

Back to the Slea, the Swans are back. I was just about to go home after seeing the Swans, Kingfisher, young duckling and 4 Dabchicks, when the Swans made their way to Cogglesford Mill. Swans have to run along the water to take off and also need a bit of open space to slowly climb away and the Cogglesford Mill stretch has been a favourite take off place for most the Swans I have seen on the Slea. So I followed them and waited about 3/4 hour for them to take off towards me with the Mill in the background. But no, they decided to swim back upstream so I didnt get the shots I had hoped for 
There is always tomorrow ???
