The ducklings looked cold this morning huddling together on the bank warming up in the morning sun, but at least they survived 
I saw 2 Kingfishers fly underneath the LC bridge, they were very close together one following the other so I am unsure if one was chasing the other or they were just flying in formation, its nice to see them again though.
They have started to clear out Lollycocks pond (see photo below) but they are just dumping the sludge on the banks and will leave it there to ‘nourish’ the soil because they want to plant wild flowers a friend has told me. Well wild flowers need poor soil not good soil because the better the soil the more one invasive plant (weed) will grow and smother the more weak wild flowers, but the Council say they have taken advise on this but it just doesn’t make sense to me. A more sceptable person than I might wonder if the cost of removing the sludge came into the reckoning somewhere along the line….
