I think we have lost another baby Dabchick 
 I know that at 5:30pm last night all was well, but Alan and I could only find 1 baby Dabchick and the 2 parents today, even after walking from the Hub to Cogglesford Mill twice. We did see the 2 adults leave the baby behind and go all the way to Cogglesford Mill, I might be imaging this but it certainly seemed like they were looking for something, whether it was the missing little one or the other Dabchicks that were here is anyones guess ? I went down again this afternoon especially to try and find the missing baby but it was nowhere in sight.
Just before 5:30 last night one of the babies was being attacked by a Moorhen but both babies were seen after this ? I just hope I am wrong but I fear the worst…
On a happier note the 3 new baby Moorhens near the Leisure Centre are still doing well, and while I am on about Moorhens here is a shot of two little ones near the hub the other day…
