The Dabchicks are ok at the moment but the water level is going down so they will be on dryland sometime in the nearish future. There are at least 2 more baby Moorhens just upstream from Cogglesford corner 
and the Coots seem to spend much of their day upstream at the Leisure Centre and also the Hub, before going back to their nesting site near the Mill.
If you were a Moorhen on this stretch of the Slea I am sure you would have been trembling when you saw this coming straight for you …
