The Slea is higher now than it was on Monday and some houses have sandbags by the doors…

… more rain is forecast for Tomorrow but lets hope that we dont get it very badly. I think one of the most ‘at risk’ buildings is the Leisure Centre because if the Slea overflows there it will just run straight in as the entrance is down some steps.
Only seen 1 Dabchick the last few days, I dont know if the other one has left or is sitting on a nest ???

Nicola – I saw both Dabchicks yesterday afternoon at about 1.00pm on the bend by the Hub. Happily diving ![]()
Isn’t the Slea a wonderful thing for us to have on our doorstep to enjoy? This website is adding to that a great deal. Thank you ![]()
Hi Nicola, thanks very much for registering and for the info, its good to know both Dabchicks are still around, lets hope they are all summer. You probably saw that with this software someones first post needs ‘accepting’ by me before it is shown, but from now on any comment you make will be seen straight away
I also copy most comments to the front page (as with this one now), I just wish the software would give me an option for showing comments on the main page automatically.
